xbox fanboy: what? sry... I was in the middle of a game.
UGH! hit wrong button
This game was different. It was too different. That was the problem.
M$ said they don't show games before they're ready. Not that they don't delay games.
It's a different kind of stealth. Don't mistake that with no stealth at all.
Personally, I was interested in it a lot. It might have worked better as a different game as it was such a departure from the classic SC gameplay.
The original game was starting development 10 years ago. This is a game/trilogy based off the same universe.
The original game was canceled twice. This is not the same game. Stop being ignorant.
They licensed the UE3 engine without expecting to have to make their own engine. There's also the fact that they have a fair bit less as far as employees and resources go than insomniac
I'd be pretty damn proud if I was 1/2 done with a game, decided the engine I was using had poor support, and ended up making my own engine still in time for launch too.
well deserved. I wonder if they'll go back to UE3 or maybe idtech for the sequel or keep on their own engine. I just...
Read... good.
how someone gets so many disagrees and has that many bubbles is beyond me.
"MGS4 pioneered the stealth shooter genre so i dont see why people would choose SC over MGS4."
MGS4 pioneered the stealth shooter, but it hasn't done much for it recently.
Splinter cell has been doing a lot more from a multiplayer, AI, immersion, and interaction standpoint. MGS has been using the stealth genre as a backup to its good storyline.
The stealth in MGS isn't nearly as realistic or as "stealthy" as in SC. That's not to say t...
It's cycling. It's cycled through a few studios. It's finally back to the good studio for conviction. Everything they've made for future SC's as well as the one they developed wholly was pretty dang good.
It's about scope. It's changing the scope of the genre. PC RTS's seem to be stuck in similar scopes. Large scale resource management games.
Halo wars is supposed to be challenging that concept, and in that sense altering the way a game is controlled. It's not about amassing a large army to sweep across a map, or building the most buildings.
It's more likened to Full Spectrum Warrior in concept. Using combat strategy to influence the outcome of a battle rather than re...
They're jealous of your avatar obviously.
but rather a response to the out lash at GT. For those of you taking it seriously.
It's more likely Netflix would partner with MS over xbl.
Netflix's CEO is on M$'s board of directors, and the netflix DRM is supposed to be based off M$'s DRM.
You don't have the tools to make all the pieces of the elephant. If they already have pieces in place, with some time you could make it. If there are no pieces, you won't be able to make it.
In the case of the elephant (what I was replying to) he said that you can unlock the elephant by beating the level in a certain amount of time.
I'm pretty sure the "whatever you see in the game you can make" comment was in regards to overall level design, not individual...
Why is it innovative? It's a physics based platformer (done before). It has an in depth level creator (done before). It allows multiplayer (done before). it allows level sharing (done before).
It looks ok, but I don't get how you justify "innovative"
It isn't something a user would make.
Invest in a good f@ckin server dammit.
